Village Water Wells

Access to clean water is the foundation everything else is built on. In many of the villages we work with, the nearest safe water source can be hours away on foot — a burden that falls disproportionately on women and children, and keeps kids out of school.

The Village Water Wells project partners with local engineers and community leaders to identify the most urgent sites, drill wells, and install low-maintenance filtration systems that a village can keep running on its own for years.

Every well is monitored for its first two years to make sure it keeps delivering safe water long after the drilling crew has moved on to the next village.
