Winter blankets reach mountain villages
Every year, a handful of mountain villages become nearly impossible to reach once the first heavy snow falls. This year, our teams got ahead of the season, delivering warm blankets, portable heaters, and insulation kits before the roads closed.
Working with local guides who know the terrain, our convoy reached fourteen villages over five days, prioritizing households with elderly residents and young children.
For the villages that remain snowed in for months at a time, this delivery often has to last until spring — which is why we focus on durable, reusable items rather than one-time supplies.
