Reforestation Drive

Wildfires and unmanaged logging left large stretches of forest bare, taking with them the habitats that local wildlife depended on. The Reforestation Drive set out to change that, one native sapling at a time.

Over eighteen months, volunteer teams worked alongside forestry experts to select the right species for each site, prepare the soil, and plant tens of thousands of trees across the most severely affected hillsides.

The project has now formally concluded, but the forestry team continues to monitor sapling survival rates each season to make sure the new growth takes root for good.
