Animal Shelter Helper
Animal Shelter Helpers spend hands-on time with the dogs, cats, and occasional farm animals in the care of our partner shelters — feeding, cleaning enclosures, walking dogs, and simply giving nervous animals the calm human contact they need to become adoptable.
This is physical, sometimes messy work, but it’s also one of our most requested roles. Weekday and weekend slots are both available, and shelter staff will walk you through basic animal-handling safety on your first visit — no prior experience needed, just patience and a love of animals.
